Elvino, A Boy who Motivates Others

Elvino, an 11-year-old boy living in a village in Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan, is currently attending primary school. He is a child with a strong desire to learn and regularly participates in children's activities in his village. He is truly an amazing child.
"I'm very happy to learn so much. When I participate in activities, I learn a lot, including things I don't learn at school," Elvino enthusiastically shared. His involvement in these children's activities not only provides him with new knowledge but also opportunities to discuss and share experiences with his friends. "All positive things can be discussed together, and even things we didn't know before, we can learn together," he added.
One of Elvino's most memorable moments was when he learned about himself. "Today, I learned about myself; I got to know myself. I can love myself because I know I am precious in God's eyes. I am unique and different from my friends," he explained with great confidence. This learning not only built Elvino's self-confidence but also helped him understand the importance of valuing himself.
In Elvino's village, a new children's group has just been formed to hold monthly activities. This initiative started with meetings and joint learning sessions, and Elvino has become one of the main drivers of the group. Although he is not yet 12 years old, his enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge with his peers is truly inspiring.
The changes happening in his village are very noticeable. Children who were previously less active are now showing interest and enthusiasm to participate in positive and meaningful children's activities. Elvino, with his spirit, serves as an example for his friends. He believes that by learning together, they can grow and develop into better individuals.
With the support of Wahana Visi Indonesia, Elvino and his friends are not only learning about various new things but also building friendships and supporting each other. "I hope we can continue to learn and do good things together," Elvino concluded, signifying his hope and spirit for a brighter future.
